Do not rely solely on these tools for safety-critical navigation. Always carry a physical compass and appropriate maps when navigating in remote or hazardous areas.

All code, design, and written content on this site is © realonlinecompass.com. The astronomical algorithms are derived from public-domain sources including Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms and the NOAA Solar Calculations spreadsheet.

You may link to any page on this site freely. Reproducing substantial portions of the site's content or code without written permission is not permitted.

Third-party services

The Altitude tool queries the Open-Meteo Elevation API with your GPS coordinates to retrieve ground elevation data. Use of that service is subject to Open-Meteo's own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Real Online Compass and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or in connection with your use of the service — including but not limited to loss, damage, injury, or navigation errors resulting from inaccurate readings.
